General overview:

Within General Mills, our production facilities are committed to achieving safe and efficient public safety and food events and it is the responsibility of all employees to fully support this vision. Production Operators are hired as members of the production team. They are responsible for supporting the operation of various repair and installation equipment everywhere, including the handling of ingredients, building materials and finished product.




General Mills-Wellston plant operators can operate up to 12 hours a day and sometimes 7 days a week. Changes in volume and production requirements can lead to changes in work schedule and overtime. Other work schedules are available in several of our work groups. Although most of our openings are second or third shifts, Operator Operators must be willing to work on any changes that include overnight and weekends.




The initial salary for the Production Operator position ranges from $ 16.70 to $ 18.30 per hour with a periodic increase. General Mills offers a pay-per-view dividend for those who work without change. In addition, we offer a package of full benefits including 401 (k) plan, budget allocation, medical insurance, paid holidays and vacations.




Key Bonds:

Follow all company safety policies and a safe working environment

Follow standard operating procedures to use a variety of high-speed and / or high-speed processing equipment and packaging equipment

Diagnose and resolve mechanical or mechanical problems and work with maintenance staff to resolve issues

Evaluate daily processing and packaging systems to meet the required specifications

Participate in the beginning, switch on and off the working equipment

Support production lines by providing the necessary materials

Make changes to overs and End of Run cleaners including disassembling and reassembling the required equipment

Perform various cleaning and cleaning tasks

Demonstrate strong customer service thinking

Assist operators during emergencies or when production lines are closed

Be responsible for performing all required HACCP / Quality processes and documentation

Participate in Sustainable Development programs to increase platform performance

Assists in training new staff as required

Attend meetings and training as needed

Perform additional related tasks as provided


Minor Degrees:

You must be 18 years or older

You must have a continuing right to work in the U.S. Without support

High school diploma or GED

Knowledge of basic computer skills

You should be able to lift 50 lbs as required by position

You must have or be willing to obtain a forklift license

You need to be able to perform long-range visual activities including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting more

Ability to climb and / or work on heights while using stairs, ladders, staff lifts, or platforms.

Willingness and ability to work on any change plan, including nights and weekends

such as safety masks, safety goggles, hearing protection, a hard hat

Willingness and ability to comply with all the preparation requirements required in the food production environment

Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environments

The ability to work with allergens may be present in the diet

Willingness to work around industrial high-speed machinery

Ability to work in restricted space such as barrels, silos, or tanks

Ability to work in a non-smoking area, excluding designated areas


Preferences:

1+ years experience in the production area


Leadership skills demonstrated
