The Senior Storekeeper will report to the Manager, Room and Materials Management, responsible for working effectively as a team member to maintain stock and inventory for physical resources and the University community. Specific responsibilities may include: ordering supplies and parts through university system contracts, blanket orders, and purchase cards; verifying receipt, managing and maintaining promotions and updating the database accordingly; personal requests are required to receive requests for regular and part by phone and email and update the database accordingly; deliver and collect materials and workers and, in some cases, assist workers with materials for the day; manage courier services, as well as express delivery and pick-up in and out of campus; container label; maintain and update pricing information; document verification; submit; participation in the annual inventory; and other related liabilities as specified.

Requirements for this position include: high school diploma and forklift license, up to two years of inventory management experience, and demonstrate understanding and knowledge of various trades (eg mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, construction, etc.). with general knowledge of electronics; Proven trade knowledge must be gained from a formal professional setting such as retail, industry or construction. The successful candidate must be a detail-oriented self-starter and team player with excellent data entry skills. Applicants must demonstrate average computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), analytical and mathematical skills. Candidates must multitask in a fast-paced environment, thus requiring high organizational skills. The incumbent must be flexible, have the ability to think critically, and have the ability to prioritize tasks and shift focus from one task to another quickly and easily. Also required: verbal and written communication skills; high interpersonal skills; strong customer service skills; problem solving skills; and the ability to work well under pressure. Knowledge of physical resources and commerce departments and their campuses would be an asset.
